Dr. Townsend is a classic early adopter. He recognizes the signs that indicate change is coming and looks for ways to take abstract ideas, generated by that change, and pull them into reality. Working closely with Dr. Gray, Dr. Townsend helped bring IPS into reality and improve positive outcomes for mothers and infants in the Mid-South. IPS will continue to grow and serve more needs in the community as Dr. Townsend and his team bring new innovations that enhance the standards of care.
In his private gynecology practice Dr. Townsend emphasized his mission to improve and prolong life through access to excellent care and education. He contnues to live this mission by educating patients as part of his standard of care. He ensures patients understand all of the options for care available and helps them make decisions that are not only medically sound but will improve their quality of life.
